HILBERT KØBENHAVN is a family-owned goldsmith studio founded by Morten Hilbert in Copenhagen in 1999. Hilbert began his goldsmithing career as an apprentice in 1992 and has since nurtured a lifelong passion for the craftsmanship and artistry behind creating jewellery for every occasion in life.

Working primarily with precious materials such as gold, silver, diamonds, and carefully selected gemstones, Hilbert designs and crafts jewellery that is made to last a lifetime. Each piece is created with attention to detail and a deep respect for traditional goldsmith techniques, combining Scandinavian simplicity with timeless elegance. From delicate everyday pieces to meaningful engagement rings and custom-made jewellery, every design reflects the dedication to quality that defines the Hilbert workshop.

Over the years, Hilbert has also brought both of his children into the art of jewellery.

Villy, his son, completed his apprenticeship at HILBERT KØBENHAVN and now works full-time as a goldsmith alongside Hilbert. Together they guide customers in discovering exactly what they need, whether it is a handcrafted ring, a unique necklace, or a special custom-made piece designed to celebrate life’s most important moments.

Solvej, Hilbert’s daughter and youngest child, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jewellery Design. She manages the digital side of the business, including social media, the website, and the finalisation of jewellery designs using modern 3D design programs. Her work helps translate traditional craftsmanship into contemporary jewellery collections available both in-store and online.

As a family, we are incredibly proud to work side by side in our Copenhagen studio, combining generations of craftsmanship with modern design to create jewellery that can be worn, loved, and passed down for years to come.
